„It Just Brought Tears to Your Eyes“ – Soloist on Shen Yun in Washington, D.C.

Soloist Dawn Johnson was delighted by Shen Yun at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. In particular, the powerful voice of tenor Hong Ming really impressed her.

[Dawn Johnson, Soloist]:
“The tenor singer just blew me away. He pierced my whole body and sent chills down my spine. So it was really mesmerizing, and it was just amazing, beautiful, beautiful sound.”

Ms. Johnson says Hong Ming’s lyrics left an impression on her, and a deep message.

[Dawn Johnson, Soloist]:
“That there’s a limited amount of time. That we can believe the truth and learn the truth. And then the truth would set us free.”

Soprano Pi-ju Huang also struck a chord with her.

[Dawn Johnson, Soloist]:
“You really felt that the words that were coming out of her voice. She really believed what she was singing. Which was again – it just brought tears to your eyes.”

Ms. Johnson says the live orchestra and dancing were a delightful fusion.

[Dawn Johnson, Soloist]:
“The music again moved you, it wasn’t just the dancing, because if you have the dancing and no music behind it, it wouldn’t motivate you or move you. But the two together, really made it more special.”
