Chinese in Fort Lauderdale Praise Shen Yun
Professor Ma has been living in the U.S. for more than 20 years. He says that Shen Yun Performing Arts is truly showing traditional Chinese culture.
[Professor Ma, Audience Member]:
“The show is very, very good. I feel like it is the heritage of our Chinese culture, and is full of humanity. I feel that it breaks away from the culture of propaganda. It has inherited China’s 5,000 years of culture.”
Mr. and Mrs. Li were also at one of Shen Yun’s shows in Fort Lauderdale.
[Mr. Li, International Mining Company Executive]:
“Oh, very nice. We loved it very much. Very nice. I would recommend it to anybody.”
[Mrs. Li, Audience Member]:
“I liked the impression of how they show the background, and how the traditional background many years ago to remind people what is China. So it’s very, very nice and I enjoyed the show very much.”
Audience members called the performance beautiful.
[Mai Thao, Audience Member]:
“Felt like heaven. There is a part that nice wonderful heavenly dress. Yes that was pretty.”
[Yongxian Deng, Chinese American Association, South Florida President]:
“Their performance, they really put their heart and their hard work and their mind into getting this dance done as beautiful as possible. So that part I appreciate.”
[Ms. Gu, Audience Member]:
“I think it’s very good. I’m happy I could see it. Very professional.”
[Ms. Xu, Audience Member]:
“The orchestra and the dances are excellent, outstanding.”
Shen Yun was recently forced to cancel performances in Hong Kong after the Hong Kong government denied visas to the company’s key production staff. Audience members in Fort Lauderdale reacted to the news.
[Mrs. Li, Audience Member]:
“Oh yes, I think they should have a show like that. I think people will enjoy it very, very much, as I enjoyed it today. Yes, and I can’t wait to see more of it.”
[Ms. Gu, Audience Member]:
“I think it’s a pity. I only saw this news on the Internet before I came here. It’s regrettable.”
[Ms. Xu, Audience Member]:
“Everyone must have rights.”
